Kristi Wood

Kristi Wood was born and raised in Olton, Texas.  After high school, she attended Texas Tech University where she studied international business, including one semester studying abroad in Paderno del Grappa, Italy.  Kristi graduated from the Baylor University School of Law in 2011.  During law school Kristi made the Dean’s List and was awarded the Alice Jean Cannon & Thure B. Cannon Constitutional Law/Civil Rights Award for 2010- 2011.

Kristi Wood is an experienced trial attorney dedicated to helping those that have been injured or lost a loved one as a result of the negligence and wrongful acts of others.  She has extensive experience litigating personal injury, products liability, catastrophic personal injury, and wrongful death claims.  Kristi is dedicated to using her experience to achieve the best outcome for her clients, whether it be through settlement or at trial.  

Kristi began her legal career with an insurance defense firm in 2011 and was named partner in 2018.  While working in insurance defense, she represented insurance companies and their insureds in lawsuits across Texas.  Her experience working for and on behalf of insurance companies gives her a unique perspective into how insurance adjusters and defense attorneys evaluate and handle personal injury and medical device claims. 

Kristi is part of Thompson Law’s litigation department, where she continues to help those that have been hurt and injured.  Kristi focuses her practice on personal injury, premises liability, truck wrecks, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death, construction accidents, oil field accidents, and general negligence.

Kristi lives in Dallas with her husband, Jonathan, and their two children and two dogs.  She enjoys cycling and working out, and spending her weekends watching her children play sports.
